You can make a positive impact on us and the community we serve! By helping Kazenodaichi Taiko, you are joining us in our mission to share and educate others about taiko throughout the Northwest Ohio region. Donations go towards maintaining our instruments, repairing equipment, inviting guest artists, and other projects. You can read more about these below. GoFundMe Campaign

We’re currently raising money to help us purchase six additional drum bags, like the one shown in the picture below. These bags will help us protect our drums while we transport them to and from practices, workshops, and gigs. Since we move them around a lot, this investment will help extend the life of our drums and help us reduce our expenses for maintaining them in the future.

Projects

Below are some of the current projects that any funds we receive, either from performances or donations, are helping us complete!

Rebuilding Stands

Our beta stands are starting to break, and could use an updated design.
Our naname stands need replacing because of damage and wear.
We want to build a new tower stand that is easier to transport and set up.

Drum Repair

The hide that makes up our drum heads has worn down on many of our drums, so we need to stretch and tack new heads.
Our barrels have gotten scuffed over time and need a good sanding and staining.

Class Resources

Gomidaiko are practice drums that are made from trash cans and tape. We use these for classes to provide more surfaces for students to play. We need to make more and replace the tape!
Bachi wear down over time. We need to start replacing our class set!

Inviting Artists

We would like to invite Mark H Rooney to help us write a Matsuri arrangement in the future!
